Find My Cologne!

   My artifact is a body cologne. It is like a perfume. It is a transparent liquid which has a smell. There are various smells and perfume brands. The smell of this cologne is Savon. It's about the same size as a 15-centimeter ruler. Its cap is white color, and the vessel is clear. They are made of plastic. It is light objectively and anyone can hold it in one hand. Many companies make perfumes, and this is made by a company named SHIRO.

   I was given it by my friend on my birthday. She is my best friend in high school. It’s my favorite birthday present I have ever given. So, this is my artifact.

   When my friend gave me it, I screamed “What is this!?”.

   “It's a body cologne! I hope you like it!” She said.

   I looked at rapping and found this in it. I have mixed feelings of surprise and happiness. I almost cried.

   I said “I’m happy! Thank you!”.

   “Thank you, too. I’m glad you’re happy!” she said.

   I was so glad when I was given it. One of the reasons is that its vessel has a very cute package. This English character is very fashionable. Also, its smell makes me feel refreshed and happy. This smell is exactly what I liked. She understood my favorite smell though I didn’t teach her. I often use it by pushing at my body, hair, neck, and wrist. When I meet my friends and I go shopping, I use it. But I sometimes forget to apply it. I feel sad and unhappy. It’s important for me to raise my feelings. Moreover, the smell can express me. It always teaches me who I am. I’m often encouraged by the smell of perfume.

   By the way, I have very good memories of cologne, but on the other hand, it also has other aspects. There are two cultural and societal aspects about my artifact.

   There is fragrance pollution. It means to be sickened by the smell. It might make someone sick. Some people like perfume but other people don’t like it. It's a nuisance for people who don’t like it. They began to feel bad because of the smell of perfume. I made my mother not to feel well because of the smell of perfume. I used it without thinking of others. And in my experience, children hated the teacher's strong smells in school. We must not use it in school for children. Perfume is limited where to use, when to use. There is an appropriate place, appropriate time, and appropriate occasion and we must set a limit to use it.

   In addition, smells make for accessibility. It’s that people who can’t see and hear can understand and enjoy the smell. This is a positive aspect. The reason I think this is important is I hope that everyone can enjoy their life without barriers. In addition, the smell is one way to express oneself. If you don't have confidence, the smell comforts you. Perfume can make their life interesting. We can enjoy the invisible fashion.
